The Borough of Wharton has a long history of supporting non-profit groups within our community and surrounding area. Keeping with that tradition, the Borough has organized a charitable event to take place on 14 September 2024 at Betty Poyer Field, rain or shine. Hog Wild Wharton will bring our community together for a day of music, games and food to help raise funds for non-profit organizations that strengthen our fiber and core of our community. We are asking businesses and individuals to take part by donating or sponsoring the event or activities. We will proudly display your business name at the event and thank you publicly.
Hog Wild is a cook off contest where teams will compete for their favorite charities. Team's recipe has to include pork and will be judged by their peers. The prizes will go to the winners in the amount of $3,000 to first place, $2,000 for second place and a $1,000 to third place, to the charities of their choice. We would also like to have consolation prizes for those groups who participate in our event at $200. If you would be interested in sponsoring one of the prizes, please let us know.
